Data Governance in the Digital Age: From Principles to Practice Join Smart Africa, UNESCO, ITU, and UNDP for a high-impact workshop advancing inclusive, rights-based data governance across Africa. Anchored in the Data Governance Toolkit launched at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS+20) High-Level Event, this session offers hands-on guidance for policymakers, regulators, and practitioners to translate principles into action. Drawing on the Smart Africa Data Governance Blueprint, the AU Data Policy Framework, and real-world country case studies, the workshop will strengthen national implementation, regional alignment, and institutional capacity—empowering Africa to harness data for AI, inclusive innovation, and sustainable digital transformation.
